Description

15t Electric arc furnace steelmaking is a method in which electric energy is input into the electric arc steelmaking furnace through graphite electrodes, and the electric arc generated between the electrode end and the charge is used as a heat source for steelmaking.

With the improvement of electric arc furnace equipment and the improvement of smelting technology, the development of the electric power industry, the cost of electric furnace steel has been continuously reduced.

Now electric furnace is not only used to produce alloy steel, but also a large number of ordinary carbon steel. Its output is in major industrial countries. The proportion of total steel production is rising.

The alternating current is fed into the furnace through three graphite electrodes, and an arc is generated between the lower end of the electrode and the metal material, and the high temperature of the arc is used to directly heat the charge, so that the steelmaking process can be carried out.

Electric arc furnace steelmaking uses scrap steel as the main raw material.

According to the different lining materials and slag-forming materials, there are basic methods and acid methods.

The most commonly used is the alkaline method.
